Being a parent is hard work. You don’t always know if you’re doing it right (whatever that means) and some days it definitely feels like you’re failing. There’s no handbook, no day off, and no two kids need you to do it the same way. Parents of multiple kids, especially, I take my hats off to you because the physical and emotional juggling. I have one and some days I feel at my wits’ end.
And then there is the laughter. The shared jokes. The hugs that are more of a desperate squeeze. The nighttime whispers of “I love you”. There’s the joy of seeing each one of your children grow into their own person, the privilege of being a part of that journey.
I’ve watched my friend, Sarah, and her husband, Ryan, go through that journey with their three, beautiful children, for almost nine years now and am honored to capture just a little of all of that goodness in our session at Johnson Springview Park in Rocklin, recently. We walked the trails, we jumped over rocks, and climbed the play structures.
